Attended John Street Walk-in today and Dr Paulo Oliverio is an absolute professional! He made me feel like I was his only patient. If he had a practise in Hamilton I would look to switch doctors immediately! I rarely ever go to the doctor figuring my body will work through whatever it is I am experiencing, and yet today was the first time in probably 10 years that I felt like I wasn’t invisible to a doctor. The Front Desk Administrator (sorry, I didn’t get a name), was very warm, welcoming and professional also. I highly recommend this place if you require a walk-in clinic. ~ Lisa B

I had an STD screening done from here, I had an call in appointment which was super convenient and easy and all i had to do was pick up my prescriptions from the office and go right to life labs. Not to mention, the people at St. Johns medical helped me understand my results and explained them to me as I didn't understand there were two separate tests and sent me a copy of them for my future records! All in all it was a super easy an convenient process and they were so nice in proving me information even months after I had the testing done. I definitely recommend this place! ~ Hannah G

I can’t say enough good things about both the walk-in and pharmacy. The entire pharmacy staff, Yousaf at the front desk, Dr. Michiels and Dr. Oliverio are all fantastic. I have suffered from eczema my whole life, but when it was the worst its ever been this clinic was able to prescribe treatment immediately and then refer me to a specialist when my condition persisted through the first round of treatment. I am personally thankful for this practice and cannot recommend it enough. ~ Matt M

The fastest and most efficient walk in in Hamilton. Very nice staff, Doctor is also very nice, listens to your concerns and tries to help as much as he could. They also have a pharmacy in the building which is quite convenient to get your meds after an appointment. Wish they were taking patients as a family doctor. I would definitely recommend anyone that's having issues being seen by a medical professional, to visit this clinic for quick assistance. ~ Gwen S

2025 Adding a new review to my old one, to express my gratitudeto the front desk gentlemen and the doctor at the clinic. We had an excellent experience with Dr. Michiels today. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything clearly and in detail. What I especially appreciated was the way he spoke directly to my teenage daughter, making sure she understood and felt comfortable. He not only addressed our concerns but also took the opportunity to educate her, which was very reassuring for both of us. His professionalism, patience, and approachable manner made the visit a very positive one. I would highly recommend Dr.Michels! 2020. I have been a patient in the clinic for almost a decade. The new location is very well maintained and organized. The service provided is fast and very efficient. The lady at the reception is very polite and helpful. Visits are easy to schedule and the waiting time is very reasonable. Dr.Hughes and Dr.Bassam Al-Anee are both very caring, very respectful and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend! ~ Svetlina A

Due to the COVID-19 my doctor is not available so I tried out this place. They offer services, both by phone and in-person. The doctor called back within reasonable time. Subsequently, I was scheduled for an in-person follow up. They saw me right away and I was in and out in 15mins. The receptionist is friendly and helpful. The lady doctor is knowledgeable and caring. Best Walk-In Clinic in Ontario. The receptionist, Yousef always answers the phone. He is very kind, helpful and knowledgeable in-person. Doctor Michiel is also the best. I never felt dismissed. He listens to my problems or my guesses and knows exactly how to help right away. There’s also a Life Labs across the street where the test results are also online which is very convenient and reassuring! ~ Sofia M

Due to Covid-19 you have to make an appointment but they schedule you rather quickly which is amazing. I came for a tb test It was so quick. I ended up getting my flu shot done here after my test cause I happened to mention it. I figured I’d at least have to make another appointment but that wasn’t the case the staff here is really sweet and friendly. ~ Melissa c

I have never had a walk-in clinic experience as wonderful as this. The office is organized, efficient, quiet and clean. I came in shortly after they opened and was out 30 minutes later with a prescription in hand. The doctor was polite and to the point. 100% would recommend to anyone in need of care, but unable to get into their family doctor in good time. ~ Sierra C

Extremely pleasant and professional staff at this clinic. The receptionist was very polite and helpful over the phone, when I phoned to enquire about a walk in consult and when I arrived at the clinic, I didn’t have to wait long before being seen. The Dr was so awesome, I was in & out in a half hr & the pharmacy technician was great. They even helped the night b4 when I missed the clinic, was having trouble breathing, I was a dollar short on the cheapest night quill they had & they cared enough to let it ride. Have been here twice, and service on both visits was excellent. Reception staff are always friendly and efficient, and Dr Michiels is incredibly helpful and kind, and got some minor ailments resolved quickly. By far the best experience in a walk in clinic. The Dr. was extremely professional and quick in diagnosing my middle ear infection, and pharmacists were quick to dispense the antibiotics. Wow, what a pleasant experience. I spent less time in their office than on hold on the phone with other clinics. I had a fairly simple problem. I was seen quickly by Dr Micheals. He figured out what it was and told me. He also explained what it wasn't and why. Got a script and out. Perfect visit. Thank you. ~ Steve M

I live within walking distance. They have a convenient pharmacy within the building. The doctor is very accommodating and thorough. The gentleman at the reception desk is also very humble. My family doctor is in Burlington. She always tells me to go to the walk-in clinic. I'm very thankful for the clinic. ~ Christine F

The process was very steady , signed in with the tablet as it was my first time there . The staff was very nice and energetic and very knowledgeable on what I needed . This is one of the best walk ins …. They are always friendly nice which is so helpful when dealing with my kids. We went in at 2:10 ( they opened at 2 ) and were in a room by 2:14 and heading home by 2:35! They also make sure to check and double check everything to make sure they diagnosis is correct ! ~ Malachi S

I went here to get a TB test done, the appointment was made quickly and the experience I had was excellent! I noticed how everything was being wiped down and sanitized after/before each use. I have never been to this clinic before and I also have a small fear of needles but I was made comfortable enough and staff was very informative and polite. ~ Melanie H

I go to John St Medical instead of my Family Doctor. It is in a convenient location. The clerks who run the place are very kind and efficient they get the job done. The doctors are very caring and helpful in any way they can. I would diffidently tell somebody to go to John Street Medical. ~ Patricia P
